Meeting The Team

Brett Scott first joined Scheryn in 2014 as the key driver in setting up the Scheryn Art Collection. Brett attended Rhodes University where he completed a BCom Honours degree in Economics and Art History. During this time Brett developed an interest in Art and Economics and specifically the political, social and economic implications of culture.
Brett has been the Manager of Scheryn since 2016 and blends project management with deep knowledge of contemporary African art to build the collection and support artists, curators and other institutions. He is focused on using his experience to build partnerships with other institutions to make the work of artists and curators from the global South accessible to a broad audience.
